« Chambres d’hôtes » at the Water mill
Amongst the pyreneen foothills, in the « Béarn des Gaves », three kilometers away from Navarrenx, at Susmiou’s water mill on a grassy island, bordered by one of the Gave d’Oloron river’s tributaries are our Chambres d’hôtes. Whether as a family, with friends or as a couple, Susmiou’s water mill offers an ideal environment for a relaxing change of scenery. You can fish, or practice a number of other activities in a perfectly situated, unspoilt natural part of the Béarn.
- You will be warmly welcomed into your spacious bedroom with private bathroom, lounge with fireplace and a kitchenette for use only by guests. The rooms are located in the outbuildings of an 18th Century Water-mill beside a river in situated in 2.5 hectares of land comprised of a large field, small lake and a wood.
- Local products, good company and convivial hosts are always around at our « table d’hôte ». If you would like an evening meal, this will be served in the old millstone room in the mill itself. (please book in advance)
- Activities nearby include organised walks, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, light aircraft flying and paragliding.
